TOP MILK - FEATURES ABOUT NEW ARTISTS AND RECENT RELEASES

Still the highest-brow MC ever to get juice from real rap legends (though not necessarily fans), New Jersey's famously obnoxious nerd king of non-sequiturs returns for the first time in seven years to remind us, among other things, that "television is a medium because it's neither rare nor well done." MC Paul Barman presents Thought Balloon Mushroom Cloud. Check out the Paul B track "I'm Frickin' Awesome" here

The new You Suck mixtape has arrived! After the success of their debut “You Guys Like Hip Hop?” Kevin Mead and Sneep Deepy set their sights on a mixtape they had named almost two years prior. Featuring beats from Mark Ronson, Empire of the Sun, Big L and more, The Mixtape That’s Fun To Listen To is a lyrical leap forward for the Brooklyn-based rap duo. Preview track is Funomenon

Tetrastar is an electro two piece comprising of Producer Oliver Hindle (Superpowerless) and Songwriter Jaylyn Coffin (solo artist). After working and touring together for Superpowerless, the two decided to start Tetrastar in January 2010. Leed’s UK based Tetrastar have just released their first album, a collection of cover songs titled “Songs We Didn’t Write” and an original debut is currently in production. Grab the full 14 track album here for free and be sure to check out the achingly beautiful "Hallelujah" below. The Band has several music videos in production, and are organizing live events in the Leeds area. One video on you tube that immediately catches the eye (and ears) is Zebra Chaos (inhuman Beatbox) filmed improvising a story about a Zoo and performing sound effects. The audio from the video was cut up and manipulated into drums, melodies, and rhythms using tuning programs and vocoders to make all the Instruments out of the human voices. The advice from "Top Milk" is to keep your eyes peeled for more fantastic things to come from Tetrastar

Bazuuka Joe is part Nerdcore artist, and part conscious emcee. He never really outgrew his love of video games and ninjas, and it is evident in his demeanor as well as his music. Born as Joseph Goodman, Zuuk grew up in a diverse community, in the suburbs of Ypsilanti, Michigan. It was here where he began listening to rock music. He started to broadened his horizons and was soon listening to everything from Hip-hop to Japanese pop. Growing up sheltered, Joe soon rebelled against his parents, and ran away from home, hanging with the “bad crowd,” doing various drugs, and getting into minor legal troubles. It was at this time in his life when he began freestyling with friends. “I started to realize two things” says Bazuuka Joe, “that I spoke very proper, and enunciated my words well, and that I was pretty okay at rhyming.” Now... the much hyped debut album "The Red Pill" is available for free download at the new Nerdcore label Rolla Twenty Records. This full length LP features 13 BRAND NEW tracks! Part autobiography, partly based on the geeked out mythos behind the popular “Matrix” film franchise.
